Merida Yucatan Private Tours
Merida is the cultural capital of the Yucatan Peninsula. Colonial architecture, world-class food, vibrant markets, and easy access to Chichen Itza and Ek Balam. Our private tours cover the full picture.
Merida Is the Yucatan That Most Tourists Never Reach.
A real city. A full day. Completely private.
Most visitors to the Yucatan stay on the coast and never make it to Merida. That is their loss. The city has one of the best-preserved colonial centers in Mexico, a food scene that has earned international recognition, and it sits at the center of some of the most significant archaeological sites in the region. Our private Merida tours combine the city with Chichen Itza, the rarely visited Ek Balam ruins, and cenote swimming. For travelers making the journey from Tulum, we also run a flexible transfer tour with custom stops built around your interests.
Merida with Chichen Itza
The Yucatan capital and the most famous Mayan ruin in the world. Combined in one private day with a cenote swim.
Tulum to Merida with Flexible Stops
A private transfer from Tulum to Merida with up to three sightseeing stops of your choice along the route.
Merida and Ek Balam Region
Ek Balam is one of the most undervisited major Mayan sites in the Yucatan. Combine it with the rainbow lakes and pink lagoons on the way toward Merida.

Často kladené otázky
Najděte rychlé odpovědi na nejčastější otázky týkající se našich transferů, procesu rezervace a služeb – abyste mohli cestovat s důvěrou a pohodlím.
Merida is approximately 3.5 hours from Cancun, 4 hours from Playa del Carmen, and 4.5 hours from Tulum by private vehicle. It is a full-day commitment from the coast, which is exactly why we build multi-stop itineraries that make the journey worthwhile.
Merida has one of the best colonial city centers in Mexico. The main plaza, the Cathedral of Merida, the Paseo de Montejo boulevard, a daily market, and dozens of restaurants serving genuine Yucatecan cuisine. The city is also the base for exploring Chichen Itza, Uxmal, and the Puuc route archaeological sites.
On the flexible transfer tour you can choose up to three stops from options including Chichen Itza, Valladolid and Cenote Zaci, Ek Balam ruins, Yokdzonot cenote, and the pink lakes of Las Coloradas near Rio Lagartos. Tell us your preferences when booking and we build the route around them.
Yes. The Chichen Itza and Merida combination is one of our full-day private tours. We visit Chichen Itza in the morning with a certified guide, include a cenote swim, and spend the afternoon in Merida. It is a long day but one of the most complete Yucatan experiences available.
Ek Balam is a genuinely different experience from Chichen Itza. It is far less visited, the main pyramid is still climbable, and the carved stucco facade at the tomb entrance is considered some of the finest Mayan stonework anywhere. It lacks the scale of Chichen Itza but more than makes up for it with atmosphere and access.
A private transfer with flexible stops is the best option. The ADO bus is direct but has no flexibility. Group tours exist but are rushed. A private vehicle lets you stop at Chichen Itza, Valladolid, or any other site along the route, travel at your own pace, and arrive at your Merida hotel directly. We run this transfer regularly and know the best stop combinations for the time available.
