Three of Yucatán's Greatest Highlights. One Private Day.

Why This Tour Covers the Full Depth of What the Yucatán Has to Offer

Chichen Itza is one of the most visited archaeological sites on Earth — and for good reason. The Temple of Kukulcán aligns perfectly with the sun during the equinox. The Great Ball Court is the largest in all of Mesoamerica. The Sacred Cenote held religious significance for centuries. But Chichen Itza is only the beginning of this private full-day tour. After the ruins, you travel to Valladolid — one of the most charming colonial towns in Mexico, with colorful facades, a stunning central square, and restaurants serving traditional Yucatecan dishes. Then comes the cenote: Yokdzonot, a community-managed freshwater sinkhole surrounded by jungle, with crystal-clear water and far fewer visitors than the more commercial options. All in a single day. All private. All at your pace.

Your certified guide brings the ancient city to life — from El Castillo's astronomical precision to the carved reliefs of the Temple of Warriors.

Valladolid — Colonial Yucatán

Frequently Asked Questions

Find quick answers to the most common questions about our transfers, booking process, and services—so you can travel with confidence and ease.

What is included in the private tour to Chichen Itza, Valladolid and Yokdzonot Cenote?

The tour includes private air-conditioned transport from your hotel or rental, a certified bilingual guide for the full day, entrance fees to Chichen Itza and Yokdzonot cenote, lunch at a local restaurant in Valladolid, and cold water throughout the journey. The full tour runs approximately 10 to 11 hours.

How far is Chichen Itza from Cancun and Tulum?

Chichen Itza is approximately 2.5 hours from Cancun and 2 hours from Tulum by private vehicle. Playa del Carmen is roughly 2 hours away. We recommend an early departure to arrive at the site when it opens at 8am — before the heat and the crowds peak.

Why visit Yokdzonot cenote instead of the more famous Ik Kil?

Yokdzonot is a community-managed cenote near Chichen Itza that sees significantly fewer visitors than Ik Kil, which is more heavily commercialized and often crowded. Yokdzonot has crystal-clear water, a surrounding jungle atmosphere, and the entrance fees directly support the local Mayan community. Our guides consider it the better experience.

What should I wear and bring for this tour?

Comfortable walking shoes with grip are essential for the uneven stone paths at Chichen Itza. A hat, sunglasses, and biodegradable sunscreen are strongly recommended — the site offers limited shade. Bring a swimsuit and towel for the cenote. Light clothing appropriate for heat and humidity. We provide water but you may want to bring extra cash for souvenirs at Chichen Itza.

Is Chichen Itza suitable for children?

Yes. Chichen Itza is a large open-air site with wide paths and plenty of shade trees. Children enjoy the scale of El Castillo and the story of the Great Ball Court. The cenote swim is suitable for all ages — life vests are available. Because the tour is private, the guide adapts the pace and explanations to your group.

Can I customize the tour itinerary?

Yes — within reason. If you want to spend more time at Chichen Itza and less in Valladolid, or skip lunch in favor of more cenote time, just let us know when booking. Private tours are designed for flexibility. For major itinerary changes, contact us via WhatsApp before booking and we'll confirm what's possible.
